The site
A large, level flat cradled between the creek and the hills, reached only by crossing the creek some 250 metres off the main road.
The cattle are regular visitors here, often wandering over to say hello. With plenty of space and a private swimming hole, it’s our go-to campsite for larger groups.
Best suited to smaller off-road vans and tents. Tucked beyond the creek crossing, it’s a little harder to reach — which means a lot more privacy once you’re here.

Guest moments at Silky Oak Flat

There are no toilets, showers or drinking water on the land — this site is for self-contained campers. Bring your own water and a way to go.
Campfires are welcome and Firewood is available to order, ready and waiting at your campsite when you arrive. Total fire bans are observed.
Dogs are encouraged but this is a working farm — keep them close and under control around the cattle at all times.
