Tyungun is a working farm and a self-contained camp. Here’s what to know.
The precise address and gate instructions are sent once your booking is confirmed.
Each site has its own gate. The Swimming Hole, David’s Dell and Twin Pines suit most vehicles; Silky Oak Flat and Pine Chapel are reached by a creek crossing and needs a 4WD.
There are no toilets, no showers and no drinking water anywhere on the land.
Bring your own drinking and washing water, as well as a camp toilet.
Campfires are welcome in the provided fire pits. It can be arranged for firewood to be left waiting for your arrival during the booking process.
Never leave a fire unattended, drown it water before you sleep or leave, and check for total fire bans during the warmer months.
Dogs are welcome, but this is an active cattle farm: keep them under control and close to camp.
The cattle are friendly and curious. Keep a respectful distance, and don’t feed them.
The whole point of Tyungun is that you won’t see or hear another soul. Keep music low and generators considerate.
Carry out everything you carry in, including all rubbish. Keep soaps and washing well away from the creek and rock pools. Leave your site as you found it.
Bryce lives on the property and is close at hand. Message him any time through Hipcamp if you have any questions or require anything during your stay.
